BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech wrestling earned two individual victories in Appalachian Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon but fell 44–7 to receiving-votes Truett McConnell University inside Van Meter Gym.
Freshman Jeremiah Chinyere-Okiyi II opened the Golden Bears' scoring at 133 pounds, edging Stanley Lal by a narrow 5–4 decision to put WVU Tech on the board early. Sophomore Luke Carpenter followed with a strong performance at 141 pounds, securing a 15–6 major decision over Caleb Benton to give the Golden Bears their second win of the dual.
