BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech esports continued ECAC Fortnite Zero Build Duos play Tuesday night inside the Golden Bear Esports Lab, turning in its strongest scoring night of the season to date behind the duo of Dr.unrushed (Ryan Hayden) and TheWacki1 (Keith Karwacki).
The Golden Bears entered the night ranked 105th on the ECAC Zero Build Duos leaderboard with 22 points, a total that reflected the Feb. 3 opener and was listed prior to Tuesday's results.
Using the official ECAC scoring system (placement points plus 2 points per elimination), Tech's duo totaled 126 points across three matches on Feb. 10, bringing WVU Tech's calculated season total to 148 points once the leaderboard updates.
Zero Build Duos (Feb. 3)
- Game One: 20th place, 0 eliminations — 12 points
- Game Two: 34th place, 0 eliminations — 0 points
- Game Three: 21st place, 0 eliminations — 10 points
- Night total: 22 points
Zero Build Duos (Feb. 10)
- Game One: 12th place, 4 eliminations — 36 points
- Game Two: 10th place, 4 eliminations — 40 points
- Game Three: 4th place, 1 elimination — 50 points
- Night total: 126 points
Tech's updated point total will be reflected once the ECAC refreshes the official leaderboard to include Tuesday's matches.
