Rocket League Blue drops ECAC match

BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech Rocket League Blue dropped a 4–0 decision to Bellarmine University Thursday night in ECAC action inside the Golden Bear Esports Lab. The Golden Bears competed hard throughout the series, highlighted by a narrow one-goal battle in Game Two and multiple multi-goal efforts across the night.

Bellarmine secured the series behind efficient finishing in the opening and closing games, but WVU Tech showed strong offensive pressure and defensive activity in the middle frames.

Game One — Bellarmine 5, WVU Tech 3

WVU Tech opened the series with balanced scoring, as Samuel Duff (Algebrother), Jon Wilson (Neblosk) and Aiden Mills (Solarfrogs) each found the net.

  • Neblosk: 1 G, 0 A, 2 SV, 3 SH, 295 pts

The Golden Bears stayed within striking distance throughout before Bellarmine pulled away late.

Tech tightened defensively in the second contest, turning in its strongest defensive performance of the night.

  • Algebrother: 1 SV, 105 pts

The Golden Bears held Bellarmine to just two goals and created multiple scoring chances but came up one goal short.


Game Three — Bellarmine 8, WVU Tech 2

WVU Tech answered early with two goals before Bellarmine surged offensively.

  • Algebrother: 1 G, 1 SV, 238 pts
  • Solarfrogs: 1 A, 120 pts

Game Four — Bellarmine 8, WVU Tech 1

The Golden Bears continued to battle in the final frame.
