The WVU Tech Athletic Department has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 16-22, 2026. This week’s honors go to freshmen Isaac Agee and Hailey Ervin of indoor track & field following record-setting performances at the River States Conference Indoor Championship in Marietta, Ohio.
Isaac Agee (Hines, W.Va.)
Agee delivered a breakout championship weekend at the RSC Indoor Championship, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the 55-meter hurdles with a 7.67. He also reset four WVU Tech school records during the meet, setting new program marks in the 60-meter dash (7.22), 200 meters (23.59), 55-meter hurdles (7.59) and 60-meter hurdles (8.28). Agee added valuable team points across the weekend, including a scoring finish in the long jump and a key role on WVU Tech’s distance medley relay.
Hailey Ervin (Lewisburg, W.Va.)
Ervin capped the RSC Indoor Championship with a record-breaking weekend across multiple events. She set three WVU Tech individual school records during the meet, establishing new program marks in the 55-meter dash (8.04), 55-meter hurdles (9.36) and long jump (4.49m). Ervin also helped close the championship with a school record performance in the 4x400-meter relay, teaming with Nevaeh Wooding, Rebecca H. Lorincz and Peyton Asbury to run 4:33.89.
