BECKLEY, W.Va. – No. 4 WVU Tech Marvel Rivals opened NECC Division VII East Playoffs in dominant fashion Tuesday night, sweeping No. 5 Clark University 3-0 in the quarterfinals inside the Golden Bear Esports Lab.
The Golden Bears controlled the pace across all three maps, using balanced team play, strong defensive pressure and efficient finishing to secure the postseason victory.
With the win, WVU Tech advances to the NECC East Semifinals.
🕹 Game One – Domination
WVU Tech set the tone early, controlling engagements and limiting Clark's ability to gain momentum throughout the opening map.
Ty Bock (BockShiesty) and Dakota P. Dietz (NinjaRemover) each finished with 17 eliminations to lead the team, while Wyatt Plumley (Plum_) added 13 eliminations and 16 assists.
Jordan Green (JrdnNextDoor) contributed 14 eliminations and eight final hits, while Noah Tucker (bizzy.biyombo) added nine eliminations, 19 assists and 9,100 healing. Tyler Vines (Typoint5) chipped in nine eliminations with 16 assists and 8,833 healing as WVU Tech maintained control from start to finish.
🕹 Game Two – Convergence
The Golden Bears continued their momentum in Game Two with a composed performance, winning key team fights and controlling objectives.
BockShiesty led with 17 eliminations, 11 final hits and 12,469 damage while posting 24,945 damage blocked. Vines added 17 eliminations and seven final hits, while Tucker matched with 17 eliminations and eight final hits.
Green paced the team with 12 eliminations, 22 assists and 10,130 healing, while Plum_ contributed 18 eliminations and 14 assists. Dietz added eight eliminations and 25 assists to support the team effort.
🕹 Game Three – Convoy
WVU Tech closed out the sweep with another strong showing, maintaining pressure on both sides of the map to secure the 3-0 victory.
BockShiesty recorded 26 eliminations and 14 final hits, while NinjaRemover added 22 eliminations and 11 final hits.
Tucker delivered a standout performance with 31 eliminations and 13 final hits, while Green produced 17 eliminations, 37 assists and 20,714 healing. Plum_ contributed 22 eliminations and 26 assists, and Vines added 15 eliminations to round out the team effort.
