Trevor Trimpe enters his first season as the men's and women's head coach with WVU Tech.
After high school, Trimpe walked on to the swim team at Valparaiso University. During his freshman year he was able to cut enough time to earn partial scholarship for the following three years. During Trevor's sophomore year he was part of the school record-setting 200 Medley Relay. He currently holds the second fastest time in school history in the 500 free, and is in the top ten for the 100 and 200 Breast. Trimpe was a co-captain his senior season and during his last semester at Valparaiso he helped coach a USA Club Team.Â
After graduating from VU in December 2012 with a B.S. in physical geography and GIS, he decided to pursue a career in coaching. In September 2013 Trimpe was hired as the assistant coach at Norwich University. He was at NU for four seasons and during that time he helped build the women's roster from four swimmers to over 15.
In 2016, the women's squad won their first dual meet since 2010. In addition, 18 school records were broken during his time at NU. Trimpe also helped produce three conference champions.Â
Trevor earned a MBA with a concentration in organizational leadership from Norwich University in June 2017 and currently resides in Beckley, West Virginia.Â
