Lubanski began college in the fall of 2013 where he competed in swimming for four years at the State University of New York at Fredonia. As a freshman, Troy was a member of the Blue Devils record setting 400 medley relay. Junior year, Lubanski and the Blue Devils broke the 400 medley relay record for a second time and set a new school mark in the 200 medley relay. Lubanski finished his career at Fredonia with top five swims in Fredonia’s 200 individual medley and 200 backstroke events. Troy was elected to co-captain the Blue Devils during his junior and senior years.

While finishing his undergraduate degree, Troy was a student assistant coach for the Fredonia Blue Devils and a coach for the local USA Club Team.

Troy graduated from SUNY Fredonia in December 2017 with a B.S. in Sport Management.
