Quartney Settle

A native of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Quartney Settle comes in as the new kid on the block for the Golden Bears' Track and Field teams.
 
Prior to joining WVU Tech, Coach Q served as the head volleyball coach for two years and the assistant girls’ basketball coach for three years at Oak Hill High School, as well as two years as a volunteer coach for the Mount Hope Youth Basketball League.
 
Settle’s junior and senior year of high school, Oak Hill won the girls’ track and field state championship where she competed and placed for both discus and hurdles. Collegiately, Settle played softball, tennis and volleyball at Bluefield State College where she graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology.
 
Coach Q currently works as an ASO Provider for Uplifting Families where she works to ensure the health and wellness of children.
 
The new kid on the block has hit the ground running and is working diligently to build a team culture while pushing her athletes to be successful both on and off the track. Coach Q brings a new and exciting energy to the Golden Bears this year.
 
Coach Q currently resides in Oak Hill with her family.
