Riley Fitzwater enters her second season as an assistant coach for the WVU Tech women’s basketball program.

Fitzwater joined the Golden Bears after an outstanding playing career at Concord University, where she became one of the most decorated players in program history. She holds Concord’s career records for points (2,077), rebounds (1,557) and blocks (533) and also owns the Concord and NCAA Division II record for career field goal percentage (68.8 percent).

A two-time first team All-MEC, All-Region and All-American honoree, Fitzwater was also recognized as an Academic All-American.

Originally from Glenville, West Virginia, Fitzwater is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, where she led the Titans to a state championship as a junior. She earned both her undergraduate degree in business and her MBA from Concord University.
