Anderson begins her first year (August 2018) at WVU Tech as the head women's and men's swimming coach.
Anderson came from Iowa Lakes Community College where she spent three years, two as the head coach and one as the assistant. In her time at Iowa Lakes, the team was able to break 31 school records, had 20 All-Americans, 33 Honorable Mention All-Americans, six Academic All-Americans, six Individual National Champions and moved up in the team rankings at Nationals with men’s highest placing being 5th and the Women’s highest was 6th (just nine points shy of 3rd place). The women’s team was also able to receive Academic All-American team accolades in the Fall of 2017 and the Spring of 2018 with three girls achieving a 4.0 GPA average during the academic year.
Anderson also worked at Lindsey Wilson College to start her coaching career where she helped coach twelve national qualifiers, one All-American, three individual conference champions, two relay conference champions, two conference record holders and nine school records were broken that year.
Anderson is a Level 3 Coach through the American Swim Coaches Association.
She has a BA in business administration/strategic and public communications from Alma College where she was a three sport athlete (swimming, lacrosse and bowling). She finished her swimming career with six school records, two All-MIAA Team Honors, two Honorable Mention Academic All-American Honors and served as the team captain her senior year.
Anderson also receive her MBA in sports management from the University of the Southwest and is currently working on finishing her PhD in Sports Management.
