Sophomore LaKisha Adkins has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for January 21-28.
Adkins earned a new career-high with 24 points, shooting 11-for-14 from the field against Barber-Scotia College in Tech's 88-34 win. The guard also recorded two assists and rebounds and a steal.
In the loss to Davis & Elkins, Adkins chipped in seven points, two assists and rebounds, and a steal.
When the Golden Bears faced Wilberforce University, the sophomore produced six rebounds, four points, three assists, and one steal.
From Hungtingon, W. Va., Adkins is studying Psychology at WVU Tech.
