Sophomore Breigh Renner has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for April 16-23.
Renner had a string of standout performances last week for Tech as the Golden Bears went 2-2 by splitting each series with Bluefield State College and Carlow University.
The Lone Oak, Tx. native has now recorded 22 hits in 2014 after going 5-for-15 on the week with one home run, four RBI and three runs scored. Renner was also error-free in the field for the Golden Bears.
Renner tallied two multi-hit performances, a 2-for-3, three RBI, home run game one vs. Bluefield State and a perfect 3-for-3, three runs scored and one RBI game two against the Blues.
The Golden Bear is studying chemical engineering.
