Freshman Ruby Bingham has been named Golden Bear Star Performer for Sept. 9-15.

Bingham scored her first and second collegiate goals to lead Tech to a 2-1 win over Brescia University (Ky.) Saturday afternoon.

The victory marked the first win for the Golden Bears in this young 2014 campaign, boosting their record to 1-1-1.

The Melbourne, Victoria (Australia) native is the daughter of Jodie and Laurence Bingham, majoring in athletic coaching education at WVU Tech.
