Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 15-21, 2021 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department.

Senior Journee Wheeler of indoor track and field highlight that week's honors.

Wheeler, who hails from Shelby, North Carolina, competed in the River States Conference (RSC) Championship garnering a first place and second place showing.

The senior finished second in the 600m Run with a time of 1:50.90 and helped lead the Distance Medley Relay Team of Kara Sandusky, Michaela O'Dell and Carmen Camino to a first place showing with a time of 14:01.06.

These top two finishes led to Wheeler's RSC All-Conference honors.
