Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for August 23-29, 2021 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Ana Muñiz Rocandio (volleyball) and senior Jenna Miller (women's soccer) highlight that week's honors.

Rocandio helped lead Tech to its first win in 2021 with a double-double of 13 digs and ten kills. A native of Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, Rocandio also put down two service aces.

Miller, who hails from Lake Jackson, Texas, recorded two shutouts August 23-29 while protecting the net for the Gold and Blue. The senior made 11 stops in 180 minutes of play.
