Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for September 1-6, 2021 were announced Friday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Coralys Maldonado Rivera (volleyball) and junior Dixie Davies (men's soccer) highlight that week's honors.

Maldonado Rivera, who hails from Camuy, Puerto Rico, recorded 43 total kills in four matches at the Emileigh Cooper Memorial Classic. She averaged 2.53 kills per set while also totaling 11 digs, seven blocks and three service aces for the week.

A native of Liverpool, England, Davies produced two goals and two assists to help lift (RV) WVU Tech to a 3-2 victory over St. Andrews University followed by a 4-0 shutout over Trinity Christian College. He has a total of five goals this season.
