Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for September 20-26, 2021 were announced Thursday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Ariana Gentzler (volleyball) and freshman Nicolas Eroles Estrada (golf) highlight that week's honors.

Gentzler, who hails from Paxton, Illinois, led the defense at the net with nine total blocks including four block solos and five block assists. The senior also put down 22 kills to go with two digs.

A native of Zaragoza, Spain, Eroles Estrada finished tied for 12th in a field of 61 golfers after shooting a combined score of 143 during the Dr. Wally Edgell Championship. He posted a 73 on day one followed by a 70 the final day.
