Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for October 4-10, 2021 were announced Thursday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Katie Bol (women's soccer) and freshman Donat Fabian (men's swimming) highlight that week's honors.

Bol, who hails from Gaitherburg, Maryland, was stellar on defense again for the Gold and Blue. She helped Tech keep two teams to ties after double overtime, holding the teams to just three total goals and a shooting percentage of .107. 

A native of Budapest, Hungary, Fabian led the Golden Bears during the West Virginia State Games in Morgantown with seven top ten finishes. Individually he was fifth (100 Breast, 50 Free) and tenth (100 Free).
