Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for October 11-17, 2021 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Ariana Gentzler (volleyball) and sophomore Lucas Rivera Paramio (men's soccer) highlight that week's honors.

Gentzler, who hails from Paxton, Illinois, was dominate at the net for Tech, putting down 11 block solos over two matches. The senior also 19 kills as the Gold and Blue went 2-0 on the week. 

A native of Zaragoza, Spain, Rivera Paramio protected the net for WVU Tech over two complete games, tallying sevens saves total. The sophomore helped lead the team to a shutout victory and a tie on the week.
