Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for November 29 - December 5, 2021 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Carson Casto and David Rivera Lopez of indoor track and field highlight that week's honors.

Freshman Carson Casto holds the new school record for the 60 Hurdles after finishing with a time of 8.82 in North Carolina during the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-off. Casto also participated in the 400 Dash (55.90).

Fellow freshman David Rivera Lopez also earned a new school record, marking a distance of 12.50m in the Triple Jump at the same meet. Rivera Lopez also competed in the 60 Hurdles (9.86) and the Long Jump (5.43m).
