We are catching up on Golden Bear Athletes of the Week and those for March 1-6, 2022 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshman Simon Ulich (men's swimming) and junior Courtney Miles (softball) highlight that week's honors.

During the NAIA National Championship, Ulich earned All-American honors in the 200 Breast, finishing eighth overall with a time of 2:04.67. The Munich, Germany native also helped the 400 Medley Relay team to a 12th place showing and the 400 Free Relay team to 13th place.

Miles, who hails from Winchester, Kentucky, pitched 14.0 innings towards 17 strikeouts while posting a 1.50 ERA. The junior also finished 4-for-7 at the plate towards a batting average of .571 and on base percentage of .625.
