Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for August 29 - September 4, 2022 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Christopher “CYVET” Grassi (esports) and senior Carmen Camino Falcon (women's cross country) highlight this week's honors.

Camino Falcon, who hails from Puerto del Rosario, Spain, found success to begin the 2022 campaign, crossing second overall in a field of 49 runners. The Golden Bear native posted a time of 20:50.0 and averaged a 6:41.9 mile to lead the Gold and Blue.
