Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Sept. 25 - Oct. 1, 2023 were announced Thursday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshmen Carson Barr (women's soccer) and Marianna Oyola Rivera (volleyball) highlight the week's honors.

Barr (New Manchester, W.Va.) recorded both goals in a huge River States Conference victory over Brescia University. The goals lifted Tech past the Bearcats 2-1 and garnered the freshman four points in one contest.
