Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Oct. 23-29, 2023 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Juniors Isabella Covarrubias (women's soccer) and Madison Boswell (volleyball) highlight the week's honors.

Covarrubias (Mexico) recorded the winning goal to lift the WVU Tech past Ohio Christian University 2-1 October 26. The junior was assisted by freshman Renee Julia Verheijde in the 82nd minute.

Boswell (Ronceverte, W.Va.) had 50 kills over three matches to average 3.85 per set. The junior also had seven digs and three blocks as Tech defeated Shawnee State and fell to IU East and Ohio Christian.
