Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Nov. 6-12, 2023 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Juan Minguez Malonda (men's soccer) and senior Andrew Work (men's basketball) highlight the week's honors.

Minguez Malonda (Oliva, Valencia, Spain) produced a total of six points after scoring three goals for the Gold and Blue. The sophomore recorded a hat trick in Tech's 8-3 River States Conference semifinal win over Oakland City University.

Work (Oak Hill, W.Va.) poured in 31 points, including a 17-for-20 effort from the foul line, in 33 minutes of play as Tech defeated Carolina University 87-86. The senior also pulled down three rebounds to go with a steal and a block.
