Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for January 22-28, 2024 were announced Friday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Brant Smithers (men's basketball) and junior Jessica York (track & field) highlight the week's honors.

Smithers, who hails from Williamstown, Ky., made 14 three's in two games towards 53 points including a new program record of 11 made from beyond the arc in Tech's win over Midway.
