Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for November 18-30, 2024 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Senior Stacey Begay (women's basketball) and junior Maxwell Underwood (wrestling) highlight the week's honors.

Begay, who hails from Chinle, Ariz., shot an efficient 69.0 percent (20-for-29) from the floor over two games towards a total of 47 points. The senior also had 11 boards and four assists.

A native of Oak Hill, W.Va., Underwood finished fifth at 197 lbs. during the LUCHA Open. The grappler finished 6-1, earning a fall, two major decisions and two decisions for bout wins.
