Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for January 1-12, 2025 were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshman Troy Harris (wrestling) and junior Thomas Hailey (men's basketball) highlight the week's honors.

Harris, a native of Oak Hill, W.Va., earned two victories at 149 lbs. in Tech's tri-meet, recording a Fall (4:27) against Pikeville and a Decision (5-0) versus Southern Virginia. He is now 6-1 in duals this season.

Hailey, who hails from Monroe, N.C., totaled 56 points in three games while adding 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. He posted his 1,000th career point in the W over IU East.
