Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 3-9, 2025 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshmen Kennedy Hancock (women's basketball) and Xavier Trovesi (men's swimming) highlight the week's honors.

Hancock, a native of Forest, Va., shot 55.6 percent from the floor towards 23 points to go with 15 rebounds. The freshman also dished four assists as the Golden Bears took a win over Indiana University Columbus.

Trovesi, who hails from Milan, Italy, had three individual podium showings and three relay third place finishes at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship including first place in the 400 IM. He was second in the 200 IM and the 200 Breast.
