Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for March 24-30, 2025 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshman Lexie Wikel (women's track & field) and junior Chase Herndon (baseball) highlight the week's honors.

Wikel, who hails from Mullens, W.Va., ran to two new personal records during the Tim Weaver Invitational, posting times of 31.54 and 2:45.55 in the 200 meter and 800 meter respectively.

Herndon, a Hedgesville, W.Va. native, drove in nine runs off a 10-for-18 appearance at the plate in four games. The junior recorded a homer, a double, three stolen bases and six runs scored.
