Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for October 6–12, 2025, were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Earning the spotlight this week are freshman Neda Vaicaite (women’s swimming) and sophomore Sophie Quinlan (women’s soccer).

Quinlan anchored a back line that helped keep WVU Tech unbeaten in River States Conference play with a win at Brescia and a road draw at Oakland City. A consistent defensive presence, Quinlan not only helped limit opposing chances but also pushed forward in the attack, giving the Golden Bears an edge and creating opportunities on goal.
