Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for October 13–19, 2025, were announced Sunday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Earning the spotlight this week are freshman Julen Recalde (men’s soccer) and sophomore Lexie Wikel (women’s cross country).

Recalde, from San Sebastian, Spain, delivered another statement performance in Tech’s 4–1 win over (RV) Rio Grande, scoring twice and assisting on another to lead the Golden Bears to their ninth straight victory. The freshman standout now leads the team with 10 goals and 24 points this season.
