Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for October 27–November 2, 2025, were announced Monday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Earning the spotlight this week are sophomore Troy Harris (wrestling) and freshman Ralph Aaron Etaba Ateba (esports).

Harris, a sophomore from Charleston, West Virginia, launched the 2025–26 season with a first-place finish at 141 pounds at the Pepsi Patriot Open in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Harris went a perfect 5–0 on the day, recording three pins, a major decision, and a fall in the title bout, giving WVU Tech its first individual wrestling championship of the new campaign. His dominance helped set a powerful tone for the Golden Bears’ second varsity season.
