The WVU Tech Athletic Department has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for Dec. 22–28, 2025. This week’s honors go to junior forward Jackson Tackett and junior guard Brandon Moore of men’s basketball, following their performances in WVU Tech’s lone contest of the week.

Jackson Tackett (Logan, W.Va.)

Tackett led the Golden Bears in the Dec. 23 road matchup at Marshall, finishing with a team-high 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-6 from three-point range. He also added two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 31 minutes of action.

The junior accounted for nearly one-third of WVU Tech’s scoring and was the Golden Bears’ most consistent offensive presence throughout the game.
