Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for September 30 - October 6, 2024 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Sophomore Marianna Oyola Rivera (volleyball) and freshman Julia Silva (women's soccer) highlight the week's honors.

Oyola Rivera, a native of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, put out 56 assists at 5.60 per set over three matches while recording 17 kills, 21 digs, five service aces and two total blocks for the Golden Bears.

Silva, who hails from Canada, produced the game-winning goal in a River States Conference contest against Indiana University East to help lift the Golden Bears past the Red Wolves 2-1.
