The WVU Tech Athletic Department has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for February 9-15, 2026. This week’s honors go to freshman Isaac Agee (indoor track and field) and sophomore Carmine Bernardo (swimming) following standout performances at the Joe LaRocco Invitational and the AAC Swimming Championships.

Bernardo helped the Golden Bears secure a third-place team finish at the AAC Championship while earning multiple podium results. He won an individual bronze in the 500-yard freestyle (4:46.54) and added another medal with a third-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.12). Bernardo also played a key role on several medal-winning relays, swimming on the third-place 200-yard medley relay, 800-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay, and closing the meet with a bronze on the men’s 400-yard freestyle relay.
