This week’s honors go to junior JJ Polvinale (baseball) and sophomore Taylor Scott (softball) following standout performances in collegiate competition. Taylor Scott (Beaver, W.Va.) Scott anchored the Golden Bears in the circle during a four-game stretch, posting a 1-1 record with a team-best 2.88 ERA across 17.0 innings pitched. The sophomore right-hander recorded nine strikeouts and maintained a 1.00 WHIP while throwing two complete games. Scott earned the win in WVU Tech’s 6-5 victory over Midway, delivering a strong outing that secured the team’s lone win of the week.
