The WVU Tech Athletic Department has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for April 13–19, 2026. This week’s honors go to Isaac Agee (track & field) and Alejandro Gutierrez (golf) following standout performances in collegiate competition.

Isaac Agee (Hines, W.Va.)
Agee delivered one of the top performances in the NAIA this season at the Jasmine Claggett Memorial, winning the 110-meter hurdles in a meet-record and school-record time of 14.36. The mark ranks No. 9 nationally in the NAIA this season and stands as a personal best for the freshman hurdler.

Agee also added a personal-best 11.33 in the 100 meters and helped WVU Tech’s 4x100-meter relay team place third with a season-best time of 43.67 alongside Carlos Parra Soto, Ralph Aaron Etaba Ateba and Chucky Jordan. The Golden Bears finished third as a team with 82 points in one of the program’s strongest outdoor meets of the season, highlighted by four event victories, four school records and multiple NAIA marks.

This marks the fifth time Agee has earned Golden Bear Athlete of the Week honors across the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons combined.
