The WVU Tech Athletic Department has announced its final Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for the 2025–26 season. This week’s honors go to sophomore Sean Cooper (golf) and freshman Rebecca H. Lorincz (track & field) following standout performances in the River States Conference Championships.

Rebecca H. Lorincz (Daniels, W.Va.)
Lorincz turned in WVU Tech’s top women’s performance at the River States Conference Championship, placing fourth out of 10 runners in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.55 to score five points for the Golden Bears.

The freshman also contributed to both scoring relay teams, helping the 4x100-meter relay place sixth and the 4x400-meter relay finish seventh. Her efforts across multiple events played a key role in WVU Tech’s team scoring at the conference meet.
