Junior Alex Blumer has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for September 8-14, 2015.

As a captain and a defender for WVU Tech women's soccer, Blumer had the best two games of her career this past week.

The Caracas, Venezuela native helped lead the team to two victories including a 3-0 shutout over Montreat College (North Carolina) September 12. In the win over Bluefield, 5-1, Blumer notched an assist for the Gold and Blue.

The daughter of Susana Romagni and Salvador Blumer studies pre-med and biology at WVU Tech.
