Sophomore Ivy Aleshire has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for November 3-10, 2015.

Aleshire led Tech in the KIAC Championship with a third place finish overall and personal best time of 19:22.

The third place finish helped earn the Clay, West Virginia native the KIAC Cross Country Newcomer of the Year award. Aleshire also made WVU Tech history, being the first woman to ever earn a bid to participate in the NAIA National Qualifier.

The daughter of Rodney and Linda Aleshire is studying nursing as a Golden Bear.
