Freshman Savannah Shamblin has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for January 6-12, 2016. Shamblin was also named a Star Performer the week of December 9-15, 2015.

Shamblin posted Tech's first triple-double of the season with a team-high 19 points, a contest-high 11 assists and ten boards. The freshman also had a team-high four steals.

The daughter of Sam and Bridgett Shamblin is majoring in engineering at WVU Tech.

The team will face Carlow University Tuesday, January 12 in a KIAC contest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
