Freshman Matt Ryan has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for April 13-18, 2016.
Ryan finished second overall in a field of 49 golfers with a three-round score of 223 (+7) at the Cherry Blossom Golf and Country Club (Par 72, 6,842 yards) during the KIAC Tournament.
Ryan was named the KIAC Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the all-conference team. The all-conference team was determined by the players' top four scores from the KIAC Tournament and the KIAC Fall Preview meet in October. The Ballarat, Victoria, Australia native ended fourth (149, +8) in the fall.
