Sophomore Matias Pazos has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for September 8-14, 2016.

Pazos marked both scores for the Gold and Blue in their 2-0 shutout victory at Shawnee State University.

The goals marked the Madrid, Spain's native first two of the 2016 season.

The son of Ariel Pazos and Viviana Dumic is majoring in civil engineering.
