WVU Tech Athletics

Ashley Gibbard (Tacoma, WA) helped pace her Golden Bears at the plate this past week, going a season-high, 3-4 to help her team to a 4-3 victory against Glenville State.  Ashley also scored a run and was responsible for two of her team’s 9 hits in their second game against Shawnee State over the weekend. 

The .750 and .667 batting averages are her top two offensive performances so far this season.

The freshman outfielder from Tacoma, Washington was also a solid presence on the field for Tech, recording 4 put-outs and an assist over the past three games.  On the season, Gibbard is averaging a .909 fielding percentage.
