Sophomore Daniel Lynch has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for December 1-7, 2016.

Lynch threw 15.23 meters in the shot put towards a first place finish at the Bast-Cregger Invitational hosted by Roanoke College last week.

Due to his effort, the son of Chris and Shirley Lynch earned a spot at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship to be held March 2-4, 2017 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
