Freshman Louis Bernard has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for February 1-9, 2017.

Bernard, who was also named the USCAA Wrestler of the Week this week, picked up two wins last weekend at the quad-match hosted by Wilkes University.

Bernard defeated John Donahue of RIT by a 14-9 decision and Kevin Merle of University of Scranton by a decision of 8-5.
