Senior Francine Meyer has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for February 1-9, 2017.

Meyer finished first in the 50 freestyle (25.63) and the 100 butterfly (1:01.63) during the Wheeling Jesuit win for Tech on February 4.

The São Roque, Brazil native also helped the Golden Bears earn a first place finish in the 800 free relay during the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships. Meyer and the 200 medley relay team finished third in the AAC Championships with a time of 1:51.50.
