Senior Francine Meyer has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for October 14-20, 2016.

In Tech's dual at Lindsey Wilson, Meyer touched first in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 25.51 which earned her an "A" standard. The São Roque, Brazil native also earned an "A" standard in the 100 yard Butterfly with a first place finish and a time of 1:00.47.

The daughter of Namat L. M. Sanchez and Paulo H. Sanchez is majoring in athletic coaching education at WVU Tech.
