Sophomore Alice Amitrano has been named a Golden Bear Athlete of the Week for October 5-11, 2017.

A 5-5 sophomore from Rome, Italy, Amitrano collected 66 digs in three matches for an average of 6.60 digs per set which also earned her RSC Defensive Player of the Week (October 2-8).

She compiled a serve percentage of .950 and a passing percentage of .975 with only one error in 40 receptions. Amitrano had a week-high of 39 digs in a sweep of Carlow. She also had 17 digs in a win over University of Rio Grande and 10 digs in a loss at Point Park.
